Clintonville was Awarded Commercial Projects Award by Associated General Contractors (AGC)
Clintonville Middle School
Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc.
Seeking to maximize school and community use of their campuses and facilities, the Clintonville Public School District greenlit a comprehensive facility assessment and master planning effort that led to a successful $37 million referendum. The numerous projects included in the referendum were highlighted by a brand new, 54,215 square-foot middle school that would be attached to the existing high school. Impressive in appearance, the two-story middle school cuts an imposing figure on the District campus by creating a unique character for the new school while complementing the existing architecture. Appearing more like a high-end high school than a middle school, Clintonville Middle School offers all of the necessary amenities - and then some - for its students, including a six-station gym, music/orchestra room, open and flexible classrooms, stress and mental health rooms and spacious daylit common/collaborative spaces. The classroom areas uniquely address security concerns while still maintaining an openness for collaboration.

CPSD parents and Guardians,
There have been various communications sent home and made public regarding open house, some of which were incorrect. Open house is on Wednesday for parents/guardians and students only. At each school, the open house will be from (4:00 - 6:30 pm). Announcements will be made at 6:30 in each school, "Open house is ending," so our staff can get rested for orientation day.
Student orientation day is the next day, Thursday for grades PK, K, 6, 9. Buses will run their normal routes.
First day of school for everyone is Tuesday, September, 5th.
Thank You - Troy

Once again, thank you Creative Converting for your generosity in donating school supplies!

Due to power shutdown at Clintonville Middle/High School, the School District will be closed Friday, August 25, 2023. The power shut down will effect keyless entry, phones, internet, etc across the whole district. Only staff who have a hard key will have access to buildings. Sorry for this inconvenience.

On Friday August 25th, power will be shut down at the Rec Center, Clintonville Middle School and High School to prepare for hookup of the new air conditiong units for the High School. Even though the unit is not going to be delivered until October, we are doing the shutdown now so it does not interrupt an instructional day. Therefore, these facilities will be closed this Friday.

CPSD Welcomes Britney Dobratz at Middle School Principal
Hello families! My name is Britney Dobratz and I am incredibly excited to be Clintonville Middle School’s Principal. I am an optimist who envisions the best for each person I meet. I became a Clintonville Trucker in 2011 and have enjoyed teaching 5th, 7th, and 8th grades and most recently was our Summer School Principal/Coordinator. This new leadership role allows me to continue to spend time with our amazing CMS students and staff in order to create and maintain a healthy learning environment where everyone experiences success.
Middle school is a pivotal time when students experience physical, emotional, social and cognitive changes. I look forward to bringing students’ families and staff together in order to help our students strive to be their best during these significant years.
Outside of the school day, I can be found spending time with my family. My husband, Tyler, our children, Kip and Oaklyn, and our dog, Danner, enjoy being outside or spending time with extended family and friends.
Whether we already met or not, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to building more relationships within our community!

Hello Clintonville Community,
It is with great excitement and pride that I join the school district as the new Clintonville Elementary School Principal. Returning to my beloved hometown and having the opportunity to serve the students, families, and educators who make up this wonderful community is a true honor.
After graduating from Clintonville High School, I attended UW-Whitewater where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching elementary students for the past 12 years and recently have been earning my Master’s Degree to become a principal through UW-LaCrosse.
As an experienced educator and relentless advocate for students, I am committed to fostering a nurturing learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to the belief that each student is a unique individual with limitless potential, and I will work to ensure that every child's talents and abilities are recognized and cultivated.
I firmly believe that a strong partnership between families, teachers, staff, and the wider community is essential for the success of our school. Together, we will work collaboratively to provide a well-rounded education that empowers our students to become confident, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our two dogs, as well as our extended family. Together we love to adventure and learn about the world around us, as well as participate in many extracurricular activities. Personally, I like to bake, read, and craft.
I am eager to embark on this journey alongside you, and I look forward to getting to know each member of our school community. Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of leading Clintonville Elementary School. I’m looking forward to an extraordinary year of growth, exploration, and achievement.
Warmest regards,
Madalyn Simonis

Today, Officer Garbers stopped at Dellwood Child Care Center for an “Officer Friendly Talk. “ This allows the kids to see our police car up close and for Officer Garbers to cover the basics of what we do and hand out some goody bags.

Congrats...
Jordan Wegener WFCA All-State Football
Jordan finished his senior season as one of the most dominant offensive players in the state of Wisconsin with 957 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns. In addition to this prestigious award, Jordan was a unanimous first team all conference selection and first team all region selection while maintaining a 3.54 GPA and participating in numerous service projects that give back to his community.

I, Officer Ebert, have the pleasure to announce that I will be your new School Resource Officer beginning January 1, 2023. I have been with the Clintonville Police Department since September 2022, and am excited to give back to the community I grew up in. As a 2002 graduate of Clintonville High School when the chance came up to leave the city of Milwaukee and come back to my hometown, there were absolutely no questions asked. Once a Trucker always a Trucker. Bleed orange and black through and through!
Prior to joining the Clintonville Police Department I was employed by the city of Milwaukee, Violent Crimes Unit. I specialized in surveillance, apprehending violent criminals, and analyzing criminal trends in the city of Milwaukee. Much of my focus involved drug and firearm investigations.
I have an amazing, supportive family that consists of my wife and four children. As a family, we enjoy numerous activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping just to name a few. We are very involved in athletics. This year I had the chance to help coach 6th grade football which was an amazing experience. I plan on taking on other coaching roles within the community in the future, as I was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, wrestling, and baseball).
I know taking over the SRO position is going to be a big change from my previous law enforcement experience, but I intend to provide an exceptional level of service. I have already been meeting with Officer Bartel, Chief Freitag, and Superintendent Kuhn to discuss not only their expectations of me, but also some ideas I hope to introduce into the Clintonville Public Schools. First and foremost, I understand I must establish relationships with students, faculty, and parents. I know approaching a law enforcement officer can be intimidating, but I want people to understand that I will always have the time to listen and help them in any way I can. I encourage anyone to stop in and talk whether it be about policing, schooling, or anything else in general. I desire to be a resource for the community and everyone in the school district.
Officer Casey Ebert

CPSD Welcomes Matthew Hanson - Elementary Associate Principal
Hello Clintonville!
My name is Matthew Hanson, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new 2022-23 Associate Principal at Rexford-Longfellow Elementary School. I look forward to getting to know all my students, guardians, staff, and community members over the upcoming year. But first, here is a little about me. I am from Door County Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a BA in K-8 education. After graduating from college, my education continued at Northern Illinois University (NIU) where I completed a MA in school counseling.
After graduate school, I moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, where I began my professional career as a school counselor at Eastside Elementary School. As a school counselor I focused on helping students understand how their social, emotional, and academic growth are all connected. This is something that I continue to highlight in my work as an administrator.
While working as a counselor I began my Academic Administration Master’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Upon completion I took a position at Rock Springs Junior High as an assistant principal. In this role, I utilized a relationship-based collaborative approach. This means that I rely on relationships and communication to work directly and cooperatively with teachers and students
As an educator I often use my own history of academic struggles to shape my work. I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia at an early age. Even when I wanted to give up, my teachers would not let me. If not for amazing teachers, I would not have gone from being illiterate in 5th grade to having two master’s degrees today. I have experienced what passionate teachers can do. My goal as an administrator is to support and foster such passionate teachers and connect them to the students that need them
As a side note, you may be wondering why I made such a big move to Wyoming. The answer: I love the outdoors and running in the mountains. In my spare time I run 100-mile races. Wyoming gave me the rare opportunity to live on a mountain and increase my training. Some of my other interests are: psychology, car restoration, sailing, cooking, eating, reading, listening to audiobooks, watching Netflix, and snowboarding.
I am excited to be back in my home state and as we all know, there is no place like Wisconsin! I look forward to starting my new adventure in Clintonville and meeting everyone this Fall!
GO Packers!

Congratulations to Emma Wittman who will be attending the National Badger Girls Convention in Washington DC. Emma was picked out of 600 girls to attend.
