New Middle School Associate Principal

Clintonville Families, Students, and Staff,

My name is Brittany Schmidt and I am thrilled to serve Clintonville Middle School as the Associate Principal. I believe in putting empathy, awareness, listening, relationships, and a commitment to the growth and development of all constituents as top priority.  I am excited to get to know all of you!

In my eleven years of experience, I have had the pleasure of teaching all grade levels K-8 in some capacity as a bilingual teacher, EL teacher, and classroom teacher. I am extremely collaborative by nature, in large part due to the majority of those eleven years having the opportunity to co-teach with other classroom teachers and special education teachers. The last three years were spent teaching 7th grade ELA, and I am excited to continue my journey in the middle school setting. I am extremely passionate about Social Emotional Learning, restorative justice practices, co-teaching, and best practices in Professional Learning Communities.

My husband, Dan, and I live in Greenville with our two boys, Jake and Ryan, and our yellow lab, Zoey. In the summer, we enjoy camping and spending time up north at the lake. In the winter, you will find us skiing and snowboarding on the slopes.

When I am not spending time with my family, I love getting lost in a good book.

I look forward to learning more about the Clintonville community and to making this my new school family!
