This past week, SRO Ebert and Superintendent Troy Kuhn spoke with grades 4-12 on the effects and consequences of threatening, bullying, and harassing comments that are made in school, outside of school, or over social media. There has been an increase nationally and locally of students bullying, harassing, and threatening each other over social media.
The two main points of discussion were
1)The district and law enforcement take every threat and act/mention of violence seriously.
2)If someone has been harassed, bullied, or needs mental/emotional health support, there are trained staff within the district, community, and county that can assist.
These talks have already sparked positive conversations among students and staff. We have had many students already seek adults for help for various reasons.
Our goal is to always keep our schools and community safe. We can all do our part by following the rule of, "If you see something, say something!"

Help us learn about the world! This win-win fundraiser helps not only you, but also twelve very deserving students learn how to be more global citizens through their trip to Panama in the summer of 2024. We'll be seeing amazing engineering, speaking Spanish with host families, exploring tropical environments, and learning about a culture other than our own! Help us reach our goal and save money too by buying a car wash card today. Thank you / Gracias!

District Family Title Night and Trick or Treating Moved Indoors 2023-10-26
We are still going to host our District Wide Family Night and Trick or Treating but the event will be moved indoors due to the forecasted rain and the safety and comfort of the participants. Please park in the front of the High School and use the main entrance to enter the event. We have worked hard to create an indoor version of the walking trail that will maintain the fun activities. Yes, there will still be pumpkins for families to take home and decorate!
The event will be on October 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the High School.

CPSD parents and Guardians,
There have been various communications sent home and made public regarding open house, some of which were incorrect. Open house is on Wednesday for parents/guardians and students only. At each school, the open house will be from (4:00 - 6:30 pm). Announcements will be made at 6:30 in each school, "Open house is ending," so our staff can get rested for orientation day.
Student orientation day is the next day, Thursday for grades PK, K, 6, 9. Buses will run their normal routes.
First day of school for everyone is Tuesday, September, 5th.
Thank You - Troy

On Friday August 25th, power will be shut down at the Rec Center, Clintonville Middle School and High School to prepare for hookup of the new air conditiong units for the High School. Even though the unit is not going to be delivered until October, we are doing the shutdown now so it does not interrupt an instructional day. Therefore, these facilities will be closed this Friday.

CPSD Welcomes Britney Dobratz at Middle School Principal
Hello families! My name is Britney Dobratz and I am incredibly excited to be Clintonville Middle School’s Principal. I am an optimist who envisions the best for each person I meet. I became a Clintonville Trucker in 2011 and have enjoyed teaching 5th, 7th, and 8th grades and most recently was our Summer School Principal/Coordinator. This new leadership role allows me to continue to spend time with our amazing CMS students and staff in order to create and maintain a healthy learning environment where everyone experiences success.
Middle school is a pivotal time when students experience physical, emotional, social and cognitive changes. I look forward to bringing students’ families and staff together in order to help our students strive to be their best during these significant years.
Outside of the school day, I can be found spending time with my family. My husband, Tyler, our children, Kip and Oaklyn, and our dog, Danner, enjoy being outside or spending time with extended family and friends.
Whether we already met or not, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to building more relationships within our community!

I, Officer Ebert, have the pleasure to announce that I will be your new School Resource Officer beginning January 1, 2023. I have been with the Clintonville Police Department since September 2022, and am excited to give back to the community I grew up in. As a 2002 graduate of Clintonville High School when the chance came up to leave the city of Milwaukee and come back to my hometown, there were absolutely no questions asked. Once a Trucker always a Trucker. Bleed orange and black through and through!
Prior to joining the Clintonville Police Department I was employed by the city of Milwaukee, Violent Crimes Unit. I specialized in surveillance, apprehending violent criminals, and analyzing criminal trends in the city of Milwaukee. Much of my focus involved drug and firearm investigations.
I have an amazing, supportive family that consists of my wife and four children. As a family, we enjoy numerous activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping just to name a few. We are very involved in athletics. This year I had the chance to help coach 6th grade football which was an amazing experience. I plan on taking on other coaching roles within the community in the future, as I was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, wrestling, and baseball).
I know taking over the SRO position is going to be a big change from my previous law enforcement experience, but I intend to provide an exceptional level of service. I have already been meeting with Officer Bartel, Chief Freitag, and Superintendent Kuhn to discuss not only their expectations of me, but also some ideas I hope to introduce into the Clintonville Public Schools. First and foremost, I understand I must establish relationships with students, faculty, and parents. I know approaching a law enforcement officer can be intimidating, but I want people to understand that I will always have the time to listen and help them in any way I can. I encourage anyone to stop in and talk whether it be about policing, schooling, or anything else in general. I desire to be a resource for the community and everyone in the school district.
Officer Casey Ebert
