This past week, SRO Ebert and Superintendent Troy Kuhn spoke with grades 4-12 on the effects and consequences of threatening, bullying, and harassing comments that are made in school, outside of school, or over social media. There has been an increase nationally and locally of students bullying, harassing, and threatening each other over social media.
The two main points of discussion were
1)The district and law enforcement take every threat and act/mention of violence seriously.
2)If someone has been harassed, bullied, or needs mental/emotional health support, there are trained staff within the district, community, and county that can assist.
These talks have already sparked positive conversations among students and staff. We have had many students already seek adults for help for various reasons.
Our goal is to always keep our schools and community safe. We can all do our part by following the rule of, "If you see something, say something!"

Read Across America was celebrated today with CMS Student Council reading with friends in Kindergarten and at the daycare!

Join us for Winter Family Night on January 23!

Help us learn about the world! This win-win fundraiser helps not only you, but also twelve very deserving students learn how to be more global citizens through their trip to Panama in the summer of 2024. We'll be seeing amazing engineering, speaking Spanish with host families, exploring tropical environments, and learning about a culture other than our own! Help us reach our goal and save money too by buying a car wash card today. Thank you / Gracias!

District Family Title Night and Trick or Treating Moved Indoors 2023-10-26
We are still going to host our District Wide Family Night and Trick or Treating but the event will be moved indoors due to the forecasted rain and the safety and comfort of the participants. Please park in the front of the High School and use the main entrance to enter the event. We have worked hard to create an indoor version of the walking trail that will maintain the fun activities. Yes, there will still be pumpkins for families to take home and decorate!
The event will be on October 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the High School.

CPSD parents and Guardians,
There have been various communications sent home and made public regarding open house, some of which were incorrect. Open house is on Wednesday for parents/guardians and students only. At each school, the open house will be from (4:00 - 6:30 pm). Announcements will be made at 6:30 in each school, "Open house is ending," so our staff can get rested for orientation day.
Student orientation day is the next day, Thursday for grades PK, K, 6, 9. Buses will run their normal routes.
First day of school for everyone is Tuesday, September, 5th.
Thank You - Troy

Hello Clintonville Community,
It is with great excitement and pride that I join the school district as the new Clintonville Elementary School Principal. Returning to my beloved hometown and having the opportunity to serve the students, families, and educators who make up this wonderful community is a true honor.
After graduating from Clintonville High School, I attended UW-Whitewater where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching elementary students for the past 12 years and recently have been earning my Master’s Degree to become a principal through UW-LaCrosse.
As an experienced educator and relentless advocate for students, I am committed to fostering a nurturing learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to the belief that each student is a unique individual with limitless potential, and I will work to ensure that every child's talents and abilities are recognized and cultivated.
I firmly believe that a strong partnership between families, teachers, staff, and the wider community is essential for the success of our school. Together, we will work collaboratively to provide a well-rounded education that empowers our students to become confident, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and our two dogs, as well as our extended family. Together we love to adventure and learn about the world around us, as well as participate in many extracurricular activities. Personally, I like to bake, read, and craft.
I am eager to embark on this journey alongside you, and I look forward to getting to know each member of our school community. Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of leading Clintonville Elementary School. I’m looking forward to an extraordinary year of growth, exploration, and achievement.
Warmest regards,
Madalyn Simonis
