There are some exciting classes and clubs this year!

  • Art Club
    • Meets only FIRST and THIRD MONDAY of each month.
    • Students will partake in art lessons and projects not able to be taught during regular art class. Students will help plan and prepare for the spring Fine Arts Faire.
  • Express Yourself
    • Wednesdays
    • Find new ways to “express yourself” creatively. Have some fun, gain confidence, and feel good about yourself while creating music and art, making a health/fitness plan, using relaxation techniques and positive visualization, new games, problem solving, activating goals and dreams, doing random acts of kindness, while maintaining optimism and a grateful heart. Enhance your lifestyle and school year with this positive and zany class that will keep you healthy and happy! Just say YES!
  • Homework Help
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • We can help you with your homework! Take time at school to get your homework done.
  • Knit Your Mom a Blanket!
    • Thursdays (October-December)
    • Students can learn to knit. After they learn the basics, they can choose a project(s) to work on and maybe even something for a Christmas present!
  • Korean Club
    • Mondays
    • Find out what Korea is all about from our teacher, Miss Von Ruden, who has lived in Korea. Taste snacks and foods from Korea. Learn to write things, like your name, in Korean, speak Korean, and read Korean. You’ll also learn what it’s like to live in Korea.
  • Math! Help! (7th and 8th Grade Only)
    • Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Got math homework? We can help! If you have math problems, we have solutions. Join math help class.
  • Robotics Club
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Introducing students to the world of robots. Use Lego Mindstorms robot kits and create your own robots! Learn how to program them to carry out specific tasks and create your own challenging scenarios which your robot must overcome. Students are encouraged to bring in additional Legos to use in conjunction with the provided kits so they can create new, novel robots.
  • Spirit Squad (6-8th Grades)
    • Tuesday and Thursday
    • Go TRUCKERS! Cheer leading is here an ready for you to join! Cheers, chants, basic gymnastics, school spirit and positive leadership are parts to a great Cheer Squad. Have fun and show your school spirit! Boys and girls welcome!!!
  • Trucking to Fitness (7th and 8th Grades ONLY)
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Students will learn about the fundamentals of fitness (muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and cardio-respiratory endurance). We will also learn to how to properly lift weights, conduct circuit training, and run sprints and longer distances. Students will also learn about healthy eating habits.
  • We Love to Write
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Love writing? Need to practice your grammar lessons from CA? Here is a fun way for you to do both! In this after school class, we will be completing a variety of creative writing activities and finding grammar in our own writing. Hope to see you there!
  • Weightlifting (3:30-4:30)
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
    • Join our group of teachers and students who enjoy lifting weights and building muscle.
